Recipe: Ginataang Sitaw at Kalabasa

One of my favorite vegetables dishes is Ginataang Sitaw at Kalabasa. And since I got a chance to try it, I want to share the simple instructions how to cook it.

Ingredients:
  • 1/4 pork
  • 3 bundle of string beans
  • 1/2 squash, cut into cubes
  • 2 cups of coconut milk
  • 1 medium size onion, sliced
  • 5 gloves of garlic, crushed
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • cooking oil
Instructions:
  1. Heat oil in a cooking pot
  2. Saute the onion, garlic and pork, until pork turns brownish
  3. Put the coconut milk, stir and boil for at least 5 minutes
  4. Add the kalabasa/squash and let it boil for 8-12 minutes
  5. Add the string beans/sitaw for 3-5 minutes
  6. Add salt and pepper to taste
  7. Transfer to a bowl and serve.
  8. Enjoy with rice.
